The Muse by dofaust The Muse by dofaust
A collaboration...
The hands of a slightly demonc old muse, who was an inspiration,
but who was secretive, elusive, and fleeting...

She was a blend of a
Leprechaun,
Carmen,
Magda,
and Cio-Cio San... others....?

...mercurial... but not for her did I utter these words,
and I am rededicated to another muse...

Ah, love, let us be true
To one another! for the world, which seems
To lie before us like a land of dreams,
So various, so beautiful, so new,
Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light,
Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain;
And we are here as on a darkling plain
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight,
Where ignorant armies clash by night.

I looked again at the lady in question,
when she was onstage,
and so expressive was she with her hands,
- for which she has actually been criticized.... -
Those hand are unmistakably these,
as if there were any doubt...
The viewer may see for themselves,
as an exercise...there are a zillion clips
of this diva on youtube...

others? What do we call that race that takes all that humans have,
then leaves them emptied, and deadened?

But there are certain humans who are _tough_
tougher than even these creatures,
Offspring of certain strong tribes:
those who survived oppression for millenia!
(The toughest and stubbornest small tribe in all the world...)
and those who did the best work in the New World.
What happens when one gets their strength from
the genes of both? Strength to bear any ill and
be stronger for it.

It is a good sign, if so...
But I knew these hands
a lifetime ago...
The white plume floats away,
quite discarded...

Merely an illusion if so. The lady shown was a true muse,
but was also given very deservedly the name Lavampirette
by her colleagues and many in her field - The Dove Lady has
none of this Muse's selfish side ....
